Retirement Needs Analysis. A Retirement Needs Analysis is the calculation of the institute's retirement needs based on demographics, current cost of care, and assets available for retirement. |

Census Projection. The Census Projection uses current census statistics to project census for 12 years based on the William M. Mercer Mortality Tables for men and women religious. |

Statistical Data. Statistical data is collated data that tracks trends, provides information and informs the public. |

Consultants. Consultants for the NRRO Planning and Implementation Assistance are trained treasurers, eldercare specialists and leaders of religious orders who work with institutes giving expertise, ideas and recommendations. They are also able to recommend grant awards to assist the religious institutes. |

Elder Care Consultation Service. Elder care specialists provide a peer review and assist religious institutes in planning for and evaluating care of elder members. This service is available to religious institutes whether or not they are seeking financial assistance. Institutes requesting this service are responsible to provide the travel, housing and stipend for the consultants. |

Workshops. NRRO presents workshops for various groups, including families of religious institutes, regions of the Conferences of Religious Treasurers or Major Superiors and (arch) diocesan gatherings of religious. Workshop topics include:
- Emerging trends in elder care
- Investing for retirement
- Building or renovating for elder care
- Government benefit programs
- Determining when to use retirement funds
- Findings of the best practices research
- Overview of best practices
- Communication with membership about finances and retirement
- Comprehensive planning
- Retirement philosophy, policies and procedures
- Other relevant elder care topics as requested.
